Greatest Y1

You should read “Elmer” because he’s the most colourful elephant ever! Every time I see Elmer, he makes me smile and feel so happy.

Ellis Y2  – Dog Man

If you’re into funny stories, “Dog Man” is the best! It’s my favourite because the stories are so funny and the pictures are great. You’ll laugh a lot with Dog Man and his friends!

Ava Y3  – 39 Storey Tree House

“The 39-Storey Treehouse” is hilarious because of Professor Stupido and his crazy inventions! He’s the best univentor ever. I really love when he invents the universe drawing machine, which can draw the entire universe back into itself.

Sophia Y4 – Mirabelle Breaks the Rules

“Isadora Moon Mirabelle Breaks the Rules” is full of mischief and has a funny dragon in it. My favourite parts are when she makes potions that go wrong, like the one where the teacher’s hair grows super long, just like Rapunzel’s!

Rose Y5 – Diary of a Wimpy Kid

If you like funny comics and stories that feel like they’re from your own diary, “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” is perfect! It’s all about Greg and his hilarious adventures that make you laugh out loud. It feels just like writing your own funny diary!

Sophia Y5 – Charlie Cook’s Favourite Book

“Charlie Cook’s Favourite Book” is a cool story about a boy who loves reading. It’s like a book within a book within another book! Charlie Cook discovers his favourite book about a pirate, who reads a book about Goldilocks, who reads a book about a knight…

Isla Y6 – Billionaire Boy

“Billionaire Boy” is my favourite book because it’s super funny and always makes me laugh! The best part is when the dad shows up at school in a helicopter—imagine that! It’s so silly and exciting. If you like funny stories with crazy surprises, you’ll love “Billionaire Boy”!

Logan Y6 – Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief

“Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief” is awesome because it’s packed with action and has a really cool story. I love Greek mythology and this book is all about gods and monsters from ancient Greece! My favourite part is when Percy vaporises his maths teacher—it’s hilarious! If you like adventure and myths, you’ll love reading about Percy’s amazing journey!
