Dogs Don’t Do Ballet – Miss Cooper

This is my favourite book because it shows that you can follow your dreams, no matter how different they are. Biff, the dog, wants to be a ballerina, and he teaches us to be ourselves and never give up. The funny pictures and happy story make it a fun book to read together!

“The Crocodile Who Didn’t Like Water” – Miss Parmley

I love this book because it tells a sweet and funny story about being true to yourself. The little crocodile doesn’t enjoy swimming like his siblings, but he discovers he loves something else entirely—climbing trees and breathing fire! This book teaches children that it’s okay to be different and that everyone has their own special talents!

Pig Heart Boy – Mr Dynan

“Pig Heart Boy” is a gripping book about Cameron, a boy who gets a pig’s heart to save his life. It shows his brave journey, the challenges he faces, and the importance of kindness and understanding. The story is exciting and emotional, making it a great read for older children who enjoy stories about courage and friendship.

The Smeds and the Smoos – Mrs Stewart

This is a great book about two groups of aliens who are different but learn to be friends. It’s all about how being kind and making new friends can be really exciting and make everyone happy. With lovely pictures and a great story, it’s a book you’ll want to read again and again!

The Christmasaurus – Miss Donnelly

I absolutely love Tom Fletcher’s Christmasaurus books—they’re perfect for feeling festive year-round! I’ve read two out of four and recommend them highly. Tom Fletcher’s “The Creakers” on audiobook is also great. When I was younger, I adored the Harry Potter series and “Holes.” For animal lovers, don’t miss “The Last Bear” by Hannah Gold—it’s superb!

The Travels of Ermine – Mrs McKinnon

“Trouble in New York” is a hilarious and heartwarming adventure that will take you on a wild ride through the streets of New York City with Ermine, the curious stoat. Ermine’s adventures are sure to make you laugh and keep you on the edge of your seat. With illustrations and a story packed with fun and friendship, this book is perfect for children who love animals and exciting city adventures.
